It took a chunk of change, but by remodeling an older home, now we have our dream space six minutes away from my work.
Now, whether to put up with the stress and cost of a remodel is a separate question. But don’t assume that the house you want to live in for a long time doesn’t have the potential to get rehab. Your location on the other hand is fixed.
