So your theory is that the players got immunity, fessed up to a lot of stuff,
but then all lied, together, about the same things despite the fact that they had no way of knowing if someone else would spill the beans, which would then invalidate their immunity agreements and subject them to very severe discipline? I suppose that's possible, but the odds of a bunch of people all taking that approach is minuscule.

And even if they did do that, it doesn't change the fact that MLB did grant them immunity, so you can't punish the players after you granted immunity unless you can definitively prove that they were lying.
