I wrote a big paper on this once. My conclusion was that for kids with competent parents and an active social life,

that homeschooling was superior for elementary schools kids.... a wash for middle school kids....and a really bad idea for high school kids (unless that high school kid was elite at something...like they were making millions as a singer or they were at an elite sports training facility).
