even in the same league as Mahomes with extending plays.

Right now, my observation of his play is that he plays like he is still in Pop Warner or High School. By that I mean, in those two situation, you get kids that just stand out above the rest of the team because they have great skills, they are bigger, faster, throw better... so, coaches build offenses around them, give them a lot of rope to change plays, or just put the game on their own shoulders.

Zach still does that too often. He often isn't extending a play like Mahomes does, instead he is trying 'make the play', "be the man" instead of looking for options. And it hurts the team... because this is college football, this isn't Pop Warner or high school, all these players that he has around him were recruited because for the position they play, or the athletic skills they possess, they are nearly his equal. And until he understands that, until he starts every play like Brees with Taysom in the slot or out wide, and knows he can trust Mike Thomas, Kamira, or Taysom to be where they need to be, and make a play, then Zach isn't going to be great.

Baylor Romney made it clear you can be #3 and play TEAM ball, make some big plays, and look just as good if not better than Zach or Jaren.
