Dealing with student athletes can be the worst sometimes
I'm dealing with some now that makes me want to pull all my remaining hair out. It seems like everyday I'm more in favor of other leagues taking over the professional preparation path.

At the very least it's time for the NCAA to make some major reforms.

Here is one I propose -

We shouldn't care so much about graduation - or the pressure to graduate student athletes in five years at least. These student athletes put in 40+ hours a week in training for their sport. They cannot possibly be taking 15-18 credits and doing well in them. Their focus is generally not on academics anyway.

So I propose universities offer lifetime scholarships to student athletes. As long as they aren't removed from their team for disciplinary reasons they can come back and finish their degrees for free at any time in their life. In fact, they can get as many undergraduate degrees as they want. While playing their sport they aren't required to graduate. They must only take and pass 9 credits of courses with a C or higher each semester. This would reduce so much burden and probably create greater opportunities for these athletes after their careers are over.
