Refs shouldn't be able to pull points off the board due to *their* mistake.
If you hand a guy the ball and let him shoot a free throw, that is on you as an official. They essentially punished BYU for their failure to figure out who was supposed to be shooting the free throw.
That said, it was absolutely awesome that Seljaas stepped up and nailed them both anyways.
