In the 2 games prior to Gonzaga:
- BYU gave up a 10 point halftime lead at home and just couldn't quite put the mighty Santa Clara Broncos away until the last minute or two. (full disclosure: SCU is underrated.)
- Low-life San Diego missed a shot at the buzzer that would have beaten BYU
The good: Perhaps BYU has found the confidence and mentality to win close games that they didn't do earlier in the season (see Utah, Boise St, etc).
The bad: If BYU isn't shooting 3 pointers well in a game, games are going to be close.
Bottom line: BYU is good enough to beat anybody and vulnerable enough to lose to anybody.
Now back to the talk of a final four, etc...
