I don’t the the Chinese government is overreacting in their containment measures. I would watch how they are working to fight (proportionality) more than how they report the numbers or their assessment of the threat.

If they are treating it like a big deal and likely have the most information about it, I think we should too. I expect the impact in China alone (lost productivity, people not at work) will be enough to cause at least a mild global recession.
