- Bundesliga has only 18 teams (compared to 20 in Premier League and La Liga), so only 34 league matches per team.
- The Premier League is the only league in Europe (that I know of) that doesn't really have a bona fide winter break. The Bundesliga shut down in December/January for 3 weeks, so naturally the PL has played more games.
- France and England are the only leagues (again, that I know of) that have 2 domestic cups, instead of just one. The idea is to give more teams a chance of getting silverware, but now you're seeing clubs complain of fixture congestion and playing kids in these competitions (see Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool).
