One argument for working while in college is that is
more fully prepares you for the real world.

Let's face it, if you're the primary bread winner for a family, you're gonna have a lot of balls in the air throughout most of your adult life (especially, if you're also an active church member).

Someone who has to balance working at least part time while trying to go to class and get decent grades is arguably going to be a lot more prepared for juggling all of those balls than someone who only has to worry about the latter.

For example, I can imagine someone in the latter situation really struggling with balancing all of the responsibilites of adult life. They may even take it so far as complianing on social medial about stuff like their church responsibilites or their in-laws planning events that dominate their major holiday breaks from work.

Along those lines, they might start copping a really crappy, passive-aggressive attitude about a lot of things.

While I don't personally know anyone like that, I can theoretically imagine how such person might exist.
