...I've seen articles from an econ professor saying same-sex PDA is totally acceptable on campus and by the honor code. On the other hand, I've also seen an article clarifying the ecclesiastical endorsement at BYU-I including refraning from any homosexual conduct (which directly contradicts the interpretation of the Provo campus honor code changes). Is there any official spokesperson or administrative clarification from BYU (Provo)? I feel like it's being kept very vague and likely to be left up to the bishops for now, which is concerning. There seems to be so much turmoil and friction due to the vagueness amongst students. The other thread linking the girl ripping up the Family Proclamation to the World and getting praised for it just makes me sad in so many ways.
I'm also concerned that this vagueness is being taken to mean the Church is happy with homosexual PDA and dating, as long as it doesn't include sex outside marriage. This seems like a Pandora's box.
