South Korea death rate: 0.5% (with link)
It may increase. It will definitely be overstated because the denominator will be understated while the numerator will not be. I understand that South Korea has one of the best organized and comprehensive testing processes.

Some people around here are probably panicking because women will obviously all be turning into men because Americans average 1.05 testicles. Too much picking and choosing statistics instead of systematically evaluating the data and coming to a reasonable conclusion.

Will it be bad. Probably. Will it be like Ebola which has a 90% death rate? Not even close. We should all do our part to minimize the spread. We are going to lose some loved ones if the projections hold out. What can you do about it? Very little, but we should do what we can.

Worry is like a rocking chair. It keeps you busy but doesn't get you anywhere. I spoke to my mom who is 77 and diabetic. Her comment? "Worry is like paying interest on a debt you don't have".

Action items on the other hand, like the OP, are much more logical and useful.
