It's a fine line to walk between the economy and controlling the virus. In the early days of the virus in China, we didn't know what was real and what wasn't. We didn't know the numbers. Now those are starting to become more apparent and we're reacting. The great things about the United States is States. Each can act and fund independently. Each can put measures in place to try to stem the tide.
I think that the virus is a real problem. I would rather overreact than under react. But polticizing action or inaction doesn't do any good and probably slows down getting real solutions figured out.
I applaud governments trying to do the best they can with the limit data we have. In the end, this isn't as bad as a world war. It isn't as bad as the Spanish Flu. But, it's still lives we're trying to save.
Can we keep the fatality rate to .5% like South Korea or will it rise to the 4%+ like Italy? I think that's the battle.
