While still anecdotal it is a meaningful indicator. We supply parts, fluids, and supplies for heavy trucking from small independent operators to large national fleets. Parts are still moving and keeping the trucks going. The demand is staying up because we don't push to our stores and shops without the space being cleared through a sale. I don't run the distribution side of our business but the director of that is down the hall from me. He said they are staying pretty busy and haven't had cause to drop any hours.
The fracking slowdown has impacted our business but the rest of the trucking chain seems to be humming at the moment. Not all trucks are running at capacity like they were at this time last year but they are still running. If trucks start getting parked and route combined that is a concern but so far it isn't happening.
