We had an ethical dilemma today. I got a text from the two other tenants in our
Building asking if we would sign a letter they are drafting to our Landlord asking to delay rent payments until we can return to full function.

My partner and I both agreed we want to continue paying rent through all this and not put that burden on the landlord. The two other tenants are plastic surgeons and oral surgeons.

My initial response is that if you are doing the volume of work these guys are doing, living the lifestyle they live, drive the cars they drive, and your folding on rent payments within the first week of a crisis- shame on you for not planning.

So we told them we would continue paying our rent, but would support them in their needs and sign the letter.

The oral surgeon agreed and said they would try to do the same.
