Wut? The government is going to pay all wages for three months?
$2 trillion? Who is going to pay for that? We are celebrating that? Two thousand billions of dollars? Let that sink in.

If true, we are stacking insanity in layers. The negative long term impact of this will be very consequential. Now we have three poisons:

1. The Pandemic
2. A potential overreaction and shutting the entire economy down - would schools, churches, large gatherings, travel and some public transportation have been enough?
3. Economic Armageddon by putting the entire country on social graft.

If true, I guess the Millennials and Boomers have finally come together and economically destroyed our future generations. At least they can stop blaming one another? (probably not). I will let others debate the size and scope and necessity of this, but I don't take this news as a celebration, but a somber realization that the consequences of this are probably only delayed. Who knows? Maybe spending $2 trillion all at once won't be a big deal...

Drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die! How many Americans are guilty of this?

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."
