CDC often quotes 180K to 200K dead as a near-worst case scenario
That is the same # US would have dead IF we had an outbreak and death rate as severe as San Marino, which is 5X worse than even Italy.
Some estimates go crazy high to 2 million, but all estimates start with "As Many as 200,000.... could die".
