About 20 years ago, I was on a conference call and they were making
very dumb decisions. I got really frustrated and yelled very loudly, "YOU GUYS ARE SMOKING CRACK!!!!!" (I might have said on drugs, don't remember for sure, but you get the point).
The immediate pause by the CFO indicated my error, followed by a somber "Acorn, is that you?". I replied, "Sorry, I thought I was on mute and I was letting off a little steam" followed by lots of laughter by the 15-20 people on the call at my expense.
You just can't make this stuff up.
