a disease is different than a mortality rate. A death rate is not a reflection of the likelihood a given person will die.

The WHO(maybe you've heard of this group?) predicts a death rate of 3.4%, Anthony Fauci predicts a US death rate of 1%.

Italy has the greatest number of deaths related to COVID-19 — more than China — and also the highest death rate: 9.5%.
