So a CB'er a couple weeks ago talked about doing 100 pushups everyday for a month. I decided to give it a try and
started 17 days ago.

A bit of background about my fitness level. Been doing crossfit pretty regularly for three years. I wouldn't say I am the strongest lifter in the world but also not the weakest. Probably just above average. Definitely stronger in the legs than arms. My bench is one of my weakest lifts (#195) and therefore I also really suck at pushups. Cardio is very easy and if there is a cardio intensive type workout I am usually top 1 or 2 in the gym I go to.

Anyway, when I started on day one I couldn't even complete a 10x10 pushup workout. I could do about five sets of 10 pushups then had to start breaking them up. Would go down to 7 and then by the end it was trying to get three or four. I'd even have to take long breaks in-between each set just to hit the wimpy marks. I haven't missed a day (probably now around 2000 pushups in 17 days). This morning I did 5x20 and it felt fairly easy. I have actually increased the number of reps I do to about 140 because I stopped feeling soreness the day after and I can bust out higher sets with less time in between each set so it takes less time.

Anyway nothing earth shattering. I think I will keep going after 30 days and try to set a goal to go 100 pushups unbroken.

And before the crossfit jokes come, yes my chest hits the floor (thighs do not) and I do a full lock out at the top. I do more military style push ups than having my hands really wide. Will probably start changing that up as well to work different muscles.
