Extreme cases get modeled all the time. I just did one at work this week, which
we labeled the “Nightmare Scenario.” We hope it never happens, of course, but it was one of the “bookends” we modeled. Sadly, the best-case scenario we modeled is probably even more unlikely to happen.
Of course, I used the same model for both scenarios, and two more as well. The only thing that changed were the inputs and assumptions.
