The most interesting piece of this is seeing the negative tests that lag about 1-3 days. For example, the 1,047 negative tests from today will go up quite a bit over the next two days, driving that 8.4% + cases down. I added almost 500 negative tests to yesterday's data per the coronavirus.utah.gov page. Cases are going up, but Utah tested 610 additional people from the 24th to the 26th. We're starting to see more <5% days as the negative tests come in.
On the right of the raw data is a 3-day rolling average. Thanks to the suggestion on my post a few days ago. The 3.25-3.27 % data will come down as more negative tests come in, but it's the % of + cases that is interesting to me. We had a 6.97% rolling average for 3.21-3.23 tests, vs a 4.77% rolling average for 3.24-3.26. Hopefully this is working as a % of test cases!
If you look at raw cases, Utah has gone up every day since 3.23. BUT... we know this is because of increase testing. The % of + cases seems to be coming down, no?
I wished we had hospitalizations to add to this. I'm loving CSoul's data around cases and % cases vs other countries. I wished we had a better handle on what stat mattered the most. Is it cases? % + cases? Death? Hospitalizations?
