When someone uses the term ventilator they typically mean that you have been intubated ie a tube is down your throat
into your trachea pushing air directly into your lungs through the tube.
The reason it might be confusing is because there is a term "non invasive ventilation" which includes using a cpap or bipap.

Correct. And CPAP is a mask that blows air in your mouth/nose. It’s bad Bc
