I was 265 lbs when I wrote that long post about weight loss, just over 2 months ago (I had lost 50 lbs at the time). Here's an update:
- I'm at 1500 calories a day (the lowest a man should go and be healthy... I learned that in the meantime. 1200's the lowest for women).
- I weigh 241, 24 lbs down in 2 months, 74 lbs overall (I'm 6'5"). A bit slower than I like, but not bad. Here's why it was slow:
- I went on two 7-day trips. One I was careful and ate as healthy as I could... Came back where I started. The other my food was provided for me and I gained 9 pounds. Luckily it took me only a week and a half to level it out.
- Being locked inside makes it more difficult, mainly because there's not as many distractions to avoid eating, snacking. I've lost 3 lbs since I started working from home... But it's taken discipline to eat and drink often.
- Not a misspeak. I'm guzzling Vita rain zero (Costco brand zero-calorie vitamin water) to stay full. I'm drinking protein shakes whenever I can. I'm only eating healthy... I fill up on eggs and fruit often so I'm not hungry and don't snack a lot.
2 family members have joined me in weight loss since they've seen it work:
- My mom lost 45 lbs. She wasn't fat by any means, but she's in great shape now (she's 57 years old and doesn't look it anymore).
- My brother lost 15 lbs. He was already in pretty good shape, he works out often. But he was getting a bit chubby over the muscle.
Just thought some may be interested in an update. Let me know if you have any questions.
