I understand the need for caution in believing claims of successful treatment...
of the coronavirus. Everyone knows that that claims of high percentages of people recovering quickly when given hydroxychloroquine in combination with some other drugs have not been subjected to scientific testing protocols for validation, but what's the harm in holding out hope that they may be true?

It seems that there are some on CB who would be disappointed if they those claims were proven to be valid.

I'm no doctor. I'm following all the social distancing and self-isolation suggestions. But I have a hard time understanding the negative reaction of some to these kinds of stories. Shouldn't we, at the very least, be hopeful that they might be proven true? Sadly, it seems that there are some who are invested in the worst-case scenario becoming reality.

I don't get it.
