We honestly love Bama.
Close to beaches and mountains.
Big cities within a hour or two. All the benefits without the headaches like traffic, crime ect.
Elite college sports and the pro teams within short distance.
Cost of living is super cheap.
Education isnt bad if you live in the right areas.
Very slow and laid back environment.
Good food
Downsides are.....
Poor infrastructure development
Poor civil leadership (personal opinion)
Too much Good Ol Boy mentality
Still some racist people

Texas, generally has had a fabulous economy even during the Great Recession, no income tax, and well because...Merica!
