False. We have PCR panels that can detect different types of Corona viruses. The older PCR panel would tell you whether
you had one of the 4 Corona viruses known before 2019 and the newer covid-19 tests will tell you specifically whether you have covid19. In fact, I have taken care of patients this year who tested positive for one of the older Corona viruses and negative for covid19
