Alarming FB post from friend who is ER Dr in a small town with lack of supplies

Here's her post. Her husband is a great guy, ER doc and in his 60s:

5 days ago I learned just how underprepared, understaffed and undersupplied White Mountain Regional Medical Center is. My husband works there as one of 4 ER docs. (Two of whom are part-time. And three of whom live in the Phoenix area and have to travel 3 hours up the mountain for their string of shifts.) Roger and I felt betrayed. Angry. The leadership leaves the ER staff to fight the battle alone with inadequate supplies. No face shields. Single-use masks to be folded and reused throughout the day. Tissue thin gowns that rip when you put one on. And those flimsy masks? They were told one per day. Eventually, they might have to limit it to one per week. This is shameful. And we’re learning it’s not just at our hospital. It’s everywhere. As a wife, if an ER doc I am angry. I’ve literally been cutting up my scraps of fabric to make fabric masks for the ER staff to wear over their flimsy masks as one more layer of protection.

Speaking of masks. When our son Jacob heard about the situation, he was able to find and order 50 n-95 masks on Amazon and have them shipped to us. And supposedly the hospital can’t find any? Again. Shameful.

And PS, if you’re one of those people out still getting your hair and nails done, doing unnecessary shopping, not practicing social distancing and good hygiene, you are putting everyone's lives at risk. Including your doctors who work 96-hour shifts. Once they’re sick, this critical access hospital, with its 3 whole ventilators, will be closing.

In fairness, I need to add that our doctors are excellent. We also have 2 far-above-average PA’s who work all the night shifts. The nursing staff is top-notch. I hope that everyone can stay healthy - In spite of the ineptitude of the hospital’s board and leaders! (I realize I am making no friends here. I don’t give a d@%~)

I can't say that I would not be feeling the same way if I were them.

I'd actually love to ship them something via Amazon, anyone know what product I could send them of better quality gowns or masks?
