I'm not predicting that this will happen. But I'm reminding everyone that there are members of the BOT that are not crazy about big-time college sports (President Eyring for example). But of course shutting down the program is an extreme measure that a minority of the BOT would probably not advocate UNLESS...the health of BYU students (and players) is threatened.
I've often wondered whether the concussion issue could drive the BOT to reconsider football. Corona is much more serious because the threat involves the entire student body (and alums) who attend games. Again, I'm not predicting a program shut down but if ever there was a time for it to happen it would be this fall.
