If your Facebook friend who posts the most about the negative economic impact suddenly had a family member on a ventilator, he probably wouldn't post about economic impacts again for a while.

Right now, a lot more people are being hurt economically than by the virus. If we as a society had done nothing to hurt the economy, the reverse would be true. Whether we have hit the right balance or have gone too far, I really don't know at a high confidence level.
