COVID19 Silver Linings
Well... it has been an interesting few days as I've gotten back into the mix here at CB. Not as many old-timers here as I thought there would be. Lots of the younger crowd aren't very friendly to the older crowd, for sure! But, the feedback on my last post was more positive than negative, so I figured I'd pass on some more insight from the future (at least a few weeks into the future compared to where the US is at relative to COVID19). Also, I was surprised when the moderators sent me a note about what I could and couldn't post here, but I'm glad they clarified the rules here now!

It's another beautiful Spring day in Europe, and the latest news is that we'll probably be locked down till early May. I watched the Some Good News program with John Kazinski and he inspired this post... Many folks thought I was too negative with my last post, so I'm trying to be positive. Here are the silver linings from the COVID19 situation as I see them based upon my intel sources and folks I'm collaborating with on response to this global catastrophe.

If you're a Capital One credit card holder, good news! There probably won't be a Capital One bank in the next few months. Yeah, they'll probably sell their receivables to others for collection, but the dummies at Capital One were so upside down in their Oil Market trades that they were the first major financial institution to get bailed out. I checked their website and it looks like they are still issuing cards, so... maybe someone could go get a Capital One card and buy some sports memorabilia? Maybe they won't have to pay off the card when this is done?

The Chinese Communist Party will have fewer members as a result of this. Based upon research that I'm doing with my friends in the mobile network underground, we see tens of millions of mobile subscriptions being cancelled every week in China. This is the first time this has ever happened in the Chinese mobile network market. We're talking 30+ million cancellations over the last quarter. In speaking with a data analyst and health experts, we believe that China has about 9 million people dead as the result of COVID19. So, about a third of the mobile subscription cancellations are probably the result of COVID19 deaths and the remainder are migrant workers who are stranded and cannot pay their subscriptions for either their work-province phone or their home-province phone.

The World Health Organization is going to get revamped. Folks in Spain are talking about bringing crimes against humanity charges against the leadership of the WHO for their part in falsifying and obfuscating health data out of China since last November. The Spanish have a long history of international legal efforts (Chile's Pinochet was tried there). If I were a member of the WHO, I'd be changing my name and getting to some undisclosed place ASAP.

The US military is on track for the fewest rounds of ammunition fired in the last 20 years. So many of my special operations friends have been extracted from their far-flung operations... I can't remember this many real experienced operators being in the US at one time since... before 9/11? The only concern... many of them are getting training for dealing with civil disruption in North America. Oh well, sticking with the positive! The peacenicks will appreciate this moment in history.

Not sure if this turned out as positive as I wanted... But, I'll stop by from time to time to share insights... not much else to do!
