What would have been a more effective approach in the “war on drugs”?
Maybe acknowledging that while it can be fun at first there is incredible danger of becoming addicted easily.

I think if you’re honest with kids about why they want to avoid certain behaviors you’ll have better luck getting them to think about it.

Telling your 17 year old he’s endangering the lives of your family becomes meaningless once he’s violated the rules ten times without anyone dying.

It seems like no one wants to acknowledge that while Covid-19 can be horrible, for the vast majority of people under 65 it is not life-threatening. Now if Gram & Gramps live with you, or someone in the family is immunocompromised, that’s another story.

I don’t know, I’ve always been kind of a sucker for facts rather than hysteria. Even for teenagers.
