did I say I was 'ashamed to be an American", neigh, I've bled for my country... and it's people who whine about
sacrifice for the greater good in the face of great threats that make me ashamed, its those people, not my country. My country will outlive this disease.
But there are those who espouse what we all recognize as the great American spirit, but then whine that one little town in Texas has decided to make sure people wear a mask to try and minimize exposure and transmission. And try to act as if civil rights and constitutional freedoms are at stake.
Nope, never said I was ashamed of my country, but I am ashamed that there are people who think hoarding toilet paper is reasonable, who can't figure out that spring break probably won't happen if basketball, baseball, and spring football are cancelled.
How can you try to defend that element of our society that continue to push against the pricks in the name of personal freedom while at the same time spreading this virus well beyond what it needed to be.
