For the medical experts re COVID
If doctors have the Z-Pack and hydroxychloroquine (or similar treatments) in sufficient supply, is there any reason why they should not be prescribed immediately upon diagnosis regardless of symptoms? It seems that the biggest advantage is a faster recovery, which in turn could potentially free up hospital resources by either avoiding hospitalization or shortening hospital stays.

I'm curious what the downside is.

With that said: I humbly submit this question to the wisdom of Cougarboard's anonymous expertise.
