I have wondered a couple times if my family and work have already had it:
From Dec. 28-Jan 12 We were traveling with our 16 year old and 12 year old in London, Paris, and Rome. I had a cough and just felt off for a couple of days at the tail end of our trip but felt pretty good once we got home. Right when we got home my wife had body aches and a fever for about a day. She also had a horrible cough. The cough and body aches for my wife persisted for a week or two. Shortly after we got home my FIL and MIL got fevers had some respiratory issues and nagging coughs. MIL sounded awful when she spoke. My FIL went to the doctors and was diagnosed with walking pneumonia. They were sick beginning to mid-February. Then one of my coworkers got sick for quite a bit mid-February. She blamed my FIL (we work together-small business). She went to doctor and was diagnosed with pneumonia also and was given antibiotics and rested up about a week. She got better about late February.

I have wondered a few times if we did have it since we had been traveling in Europe. The only thing that doesn’t add up is the time frame...unless this thing was spreading earlier than is being reported. It is possible that someone infected in mid-December could have carried it to tourist places in Rome. Or even in Paris. Rome was on the last leg of our trip from Jan 8-Jan 12. I have even heard some reports that some of the first infections of this virus could have even happened as early as mid-November.

If my wife and I did have it then our symptoms were definitely mild compared to some, including what my in-laws had. In fact it is my in-laws and my coworker who were diagnosed with pneumonia in early and mid-February that just makes me wonder...”what if we’ve already seen/had this stupid thing” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
