There is a clip of him on January 21 saying

"This is not a major threat to the people of the United States.”

Then in the March 9 Whitehouse press briefing he was asked about people going on cruises and he answered:

"I think if you’re a healthy, young person, that there is no reason, if you want to go on a cruise ship, to [not] go on a cruise ship."

To be clear, Fauci is saying there is no reason for a healthy person to not go on a cruise, for he continues to say those with specific health issues should not. So at least until early March, Fauci was not raising any alarm about COVID being a serious health risk, except for a specific group of people.

But lately he is all in for keeping the economy shutdown, saying that suppression efforts should continue until there are no more infections and no more deaths. Folks, that will be a long, long time from now.

What explains the change in tune? And this change to greater controls is AFTER the million dead models were rejected!
