I'm surprised people can't see that you simply can't keep so many businesses closed down for so long. It's not a long-term strategy that's going to work. So how much longer? 1 month? 3 months? 6 months? At some point in the near future you have to open up the economy again and those that are at high risk need to be responsible with their own health. People are going to die from this thing regardless of what you do. Do you want the deaths to occur over a relatively short period where, yes, some won't get the medical care they need or do you want to prolong this forever and kill the economy which realistically is going to hurt a lot more people. I think you have to open things up by no later than May 1. People need to wake up to this fact and stop fixating on the deaths. The current model simply isn't realistic. As a society make the necessary adjustments but people who think social distancing has to continue until their is no chance of this thing getting out of control will be the death of us all.
