Here's an interesting/terrifying article about an anesthesiologist in Chicago.
There seems to be a contradiction though, between his account and the statistics regarding the impact on people in their 30's and 40':

- He says, "I’ve been shocked sometimes when I walk in and see the patients. Most of the ones I’ve intubated are young — 30s, 40s, 50s." He later indicates most of them don't make it, which jives with national averages that people on vents have a 75-85% fatality rate.

- But looking at Illinois statistics, only 32 of the 380 deaths (8.4%) are ages 30-49.

How is it possible that "most" of the people being intubated in one of Chicago's busiest hospitals are in their 30s and 40s, and most of them die, but only 8% of COVID-19 deaths in Illinois are in their 30s and 40s?
