Body language and MJ gambling/retirement denial.
So I’m totally fascinated with TLD.

I did some searching on body language to identify if someone not telling the truth.

Here’s a few thing I noticed rewinding the interview question about MJ’s retirement/gambling conspiracy theory.

#1). Right handed people have a tendency to look right when using imagination (ie making something up). They look left when recalling history.

In prior interviews I see Jordan looking left recalling past experiences. He looked right on the gambling question. Yes, Jordan is right handed.

#2). The blink will stay closed longer when lying. Self defense mechanism.

At the exact moment the denial came from MJ’s lips his eyes closed for a long period of time.

#3). Someone lying may repeat words or phrases.

MJ repeated his denial consecutively in 2 sentences right next each other. Rephrasing the denial.

#4). The mouth can become dry due to chemical reactions. Licking or pursing lips may be a sign of dryness.

MJ pursed his lips after answering.

#5). Their head motion can give them away. Someone telling the truth nods up and down in agreement. Someone lying might shake their head side to side basically outing themselves. 🙁

Jordan shook his head no while denying. This may be less telling as he was basically saying the word no when he did it.

All in all I’m kinda amazed at the results. I am quasi-confident he is lying about it.

Then looking at his old retirement press conference that the commissioner was present for. The commissioner? Really? Is that common practice? Maybe it is for the GOAT.

Seemed weird that he mentions returning while he is retiring.

Then the comment... “if Stern let’s me back in the league.” This is self explanatory.

He then stutters something overlooked but telling at the end...”that’s something I’m willing to deal with.”

This last comment made no sense with the context of what he was presently saying at the time.

Notice the presser ends right there which was initiated by David Stern getting up as if to say that’s enough.

The true objectivity of TLD series is questionable. Obviously it doesn’t happen without MJ’s approval.

The gambling question isn’t the main goal of the series and shouldn’t be IMO. It wouldn’t have seen the light of day if it was.

At the end of the day I don’t think anyone really wants to see an aftermath of new gambling revelations. If some of the allegations of his fathers death are true I don’t think there is anything he hasn’t paid 1,000,000 x over.
