Jerry remarried a woman from Herriman, UT a few years before he retired... They kept a house in Herriman (SW corner of the SLC valley) and he spent a good chunk of his time in the area (around 2006 - 2014ish).

We would always run into him at the local Kneaders... My kids would always be excited to see him and yell "HI COACH!!!". He always replied with a warm smile and a 'Hello'. I never saw him turn anybody away that stopped him to talk...

Such a great man. I'm kind of sad today.
