Sophomore Seasons - John Beck vs. Zach Wilson
Let me start by saying I think game experience is extremely valuable. This is why Zach is the one I want to start this season. I wanted to analyze a quarterback who didn't have the "best" sophomore season and see how it compared to Zach. So I decided to compare John to Zach. Let's do this.

John (Cmp/Att/Pct/Yds/TD/Int/Rate)

Notre Dame - 7/10/70%/96/0/0/150.6
Stanford - 5/7/71.4%/56/0/0/138.6
USC - 18/33/54.5%/194/1/3/95.7
Boise State - 20/35/57.1%/390/2/0/169.6
Colorado State - 24/42/57.1%/238/1/1/107.8
Nevada - 34/67/50.7%/358/1/1/97.6
Wyoming - 10/24/41.7%/139/0/1/82
Air Force - 20/31/64.5%/319/4/1/187.1
San Diego State - 15/25/60%/313/3/0/204.8
New Mexico - 22/37/59.5%/247/1/1/119
Utah - 17/32/53.1%/213/2/0/129.7

Totals 192/343/56%/2563/15/8/128.5 (rushing -49 yds) - John
Totals 199/319/62.4%/2382/11/9/130.8 (rushing 167 3 TDS) - Zach

Zach (Cmp/Att/Pct/Yds/TD/Int/Rate)

Utah - 21/33/63.6%/208/0/2/104.5
Tenn - 19/29/65.5%/232/1/0/144.1
USC - 20/33/60.6%/280/1/0/141.9
Wash - 26/42/61.9%/277/1/1/120.4
Tol - 22/38/57.9%/315/2/1/139.6
Idst - 19/31/61.3%/187/2/1/126.8
Umass - 17/20/85%/293/4/0/274.1
SDSU - 31/53/58.5%/316/0/2/101.0
Haw - 24/40/60%/274/0/2/107.5

Zach had 2 fewer games and ended with almost the same totals as John. His completion percentage is pretty impressive for the teams that he played. I know he threw more interceptions but I feel confident that he will improve his stats in all categories from a fully healthy offseason.
