Getting lucky w a solid, loyal HC hire — really, it's something that could
happen just about anywhere. But national-stage excellence is definitely something Pope could realize much faster at BYU than at just about any other non-p5 program.
No doubt.
As for football — our suffocating & insular administration ideology — it simply won't allow for such a hire to be made. We got EXTREMELY lucky with both LaVell & with Bronco. Honestly, we're probably lucky to have some of the coaches on staff that we do right now.
