Questions about LASIK
After wanting to get my eyes done for the last 15-20 years...I am finally at a point where I can afford to have it done. I have been evaluated at one place in Provo and found I am a viable candidate.

My question(s) for CB concern the safety/risks of the procedure.

A Google search shows that it is not completely risk-free and in a rare number of cases...people have been blinded. For some reason...I have a lifetime of bad-luck. If something bad can happen...even with extremely long odds...I seem to be a magnet for it...so I'm trying to balance my bad luck paranoia with facts. What are the chances the surgeon's hand could slip...or there could be a power surge or anything else completely unexpected which could leave you blinded?

Also...I've heard that for this and other reasons...some people opt to get one eye done at a time.

I guess I'm looking to the CB collective for positive testimonials and/or warnings.
