With modern day equipment, I don't think hand slipping or power surges are even
a possibility.

The problems are always because somebody didn't get evaluated properly before the surgery and they wouldn't have been a good candidate if they doctor's did a correct evaluation.

I looked into doing it and I have a conical shaped retina instead of a spherical shaped retina. If they had done it, my eye sight would have been ruined.

If you get a good exam before, there is practically 0 risk.
