I doubt if Chicago being rat infested, leftist, or corrupt has a significant impact on whether Michael Jordan's house sells or not, but it is an accurate description of Chicago:
"Rat infested"
Chicago is ranked as the "rattiest city" in the US, according to Orkin
"Leftist"
Chicago is the #11 most liberal city in the US, according to an article published in the American Political Science Review
"Corrupt"
Chicago is the most corrupt city in the US, according to a University of Illinois at Chicago study. Chicago had 1,750 total public corruption convictions from 1976 through 2018. That's nearly one conviction per week for over 40 years.
Personally, I like Chicago. Interesting history, architecture, great sports town. The Magnificent Mile is great. Just not in the winter.
