We were in the middle of church on our deck. For some reason the mallard duck moms started shepherding their babies across the yard from the canal behind our house, hiding in corners. Then a couple smaller black birds starting mating in the corner. A hawk then came down and nailed both birds, and meticulously consumed the entire carcasses except for the feathers.
I assume the hawk in the area scared the ducks, but overall our kids didn’t listen to a thing.
