Finally watching Midway. My heart aches for our heroes who died. My dad's uncle
Was a pilot during WW2. In 1942 his plane was shot down over Germany. He was 24, never married.
The movie isn't perfect...I'm only partway through it... but I'm glad for the honor and memories it shares.
It's important to remember them. Even those we never met.
