My dad recently passed at 98 he always liked his meat well done. I wondered why
Then I learned growing up in Clarkston UT they never had a refrigerator or icebox. They would kill a cow then hang it from a derrick In the winter. They would go out and slice off different sections of meat to cook. They tried to keep the frozen cow meat covered so the crows and birds wound not get to it. Needless to say probably safest in those days to make sure your meat was well done and he never developed a taste for anything else I guess
