My dad was a WWII Vet, and passed away Dec of 2018. Here's one of my favorite photos of him.
I've posted this before, but it is Memorial Day. He was at a Republican meeting of some sort. VP Mike Pence was speaking, then went to shake hands with the first row of attendees. My dad was wearing his WWII Navy Vet hat and t-shirt. The Vice President saw my dad's shirt and hat, then took a step back and saluted him. In this photo, you can see my dad's hand moving up to return the salute.
