Sure, the Blazers could have eventually still made the playoffs (though unlikely) with a good winning streak and the Grizzlies losing a few, but really they are far enough out that you could argue they had their chance.
Really, the playoff field is likely already set. If you want to get to 70 games so teams have a chance to get back in rhythm and fight for playoff positioning (though most spots are pretty well established at this point), fine, but just bring back the playoff teams.
